Ecological suitability of mangrove ecosystems as mangrove rehabilitation areas in the Sei Carang estuary waters of Tanjungpinang City

The waters of the Sei Carang estuary are water areas that influenced by tides and have mangrove vegetation along waters. However, with conversion land functions such as bauxite mining logging activities, existing ecosystem is damaged. purpose study was to determine ecological characteristics level suitability a rehabilitation area in waters, Tanjungpinang City. This used purposive sampling method at 4 stations selected based on openness locations allow for rehabilitation. Parameters this include type, substrate, salinity, tidal pH, current velocity, biota objects. Based observations, there were 10 types mangroves found. results observations been calculated using matrix show each station can be said suitable distribution value showing dominant S1 (Highly Appropriate).
